At Vincent Toland Academy, we believe the best way to learn musical theatre is from those who are living it every day. Our Summer School is led by professional West End performers currently appearing in the shows audiences know and love. With first-hand experience of the industry, our teachers offer students a unique opportunity to gain insight, develop their skills, and learn directly from the performers shaping today’s musical theatre.

Ellena is a professional actor and voice over artist who was born in Manchester and has lived in Chelmsford for the past eight years. She trained at the prestigious Mountview Academy of Theatre Arts in London, one of the UK’s leading drama schools.

Ellena has continued to work professionally across both television and theatre. Most recently she has appeared in the latest series of Silent Witness and is set to reprise her role as Christabel Pankhurst in the critically acclaimed musical ‘Sylvia’ playing at the Royal Albert Hall later this year.

Ellena is passionate about sharing her knowledge and experience with the next generation of performers, helping young people build confidence, creativity and a strong foundation in the performing arts.

ELLENA VINCENT

FOUNDER AND PRINCIPLE

Sam is a professional actor and vocalist born and raised in Chelmsford. He trained at the prestigious Musical Theatre Academy in London, one of the UK’s leading conservatoires for musical theatre.

Sam now works as a full-time touring vocalist for Concerts by Candlelight, regularly performing in some of the most iconic theatres in London’s West End. His career has also taken him internationally, performing in countries including New Zealand and Australia.

Alongside his performing career, Sam is passionate about inspiring the next generation of performers. Through Vincent Toland Academy, he aims to create a fun and inspiring space where students can explore performing arts, build self-confidence and experience the excitement and magic of the West End.
